Rules and Procedures

The ICC Arbitration Rules are used all around the world to resolve disputes, administered by the ICC International Court of Arbitration®, the world’s premier arbitral institution. The Rules assure parties of a neutral framework for the resolution of cross-border disputes.

Unlike other institutions, the entire arbitral process is monitored from the initial request for arbitration to scrutiny of the draft final award. If it is necessary to enforce an ICC Award, assistance is also provided to parties in complying with the required formalities.

Unveiling the 2026 ICC Arbitration Rules, part 1: arbitrator disclosure 

The updated ICC Arbitration Rules (Rules) enter into force on 1 June 2026, reflecting the continuing commitment of the ICC International Court of Arbitration to safeguarding the legitimacy, transparency and efficiency of the arbitral process. Among the most significant updates are targeted clarifications and enhancements relating to the disclosure obligations of arbitrators. These changes build on long-standing practice and respond to the evolving expectations of parties and arbitrators.
