Senior Lawyer – Legal Services (Paris)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Lawyer to support ICC’s General Counsel in providing comprehensive legal services to our institution.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Lawyer to support ICC’s General Counsel in providing comprehensive legal services to our institution.
The role
- Provide legal advice and support to the General Counsel on a wide range of legal matters, including transactional work, corporate law and governance, compliance, and regulatory issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with laws and regulations applicable to ICC, ICC affiliates and office activities.
- Liaise with our external legal counsel.
- Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies and policies.
- Monitor changes in legislation and advise on potential impacts on the organisation.
- Identify opportunities to improve approaches, processes and ways of working to ensure a high-functioning department.
- Provide training and guidance to junior legal staff and other departments on legal issues.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships across the organisation to ensure legal risks are identified and mitigated.
Your profile
- Minimum of a Master’s degree, Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from a recognised institution.
- Admission to the bar with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in an international law firm with a focus on international law.
- Knowledge of French law is a must.
- Strong knowledge of contract and company law, corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, and ability to manage complex legal issues in an international environment.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Readiness to be challenged and to operate in a fast-moving international environment.
- Ability to work autonomously while demonstrating a strong team spirit.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills in French and English is essential. Additional languages are a plus.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Familiarity with the operations and legal requirements of both non-profit and for-profit organisations is an important advantage.
- A business degree or certification is a plus.
