ICC Global Impact Hub

Building a fair and sustainable global economy requires investing in those who power it. The ICC Global Impact Hub works with partners and donors to expand access to the finance, tools and skills that small businesses in emerging economies need to grow, compete and succeed.

Small businesses drive global prosperity.

The ICC Global Impact Hub is ICC’s central convener for cross-cutting initiatives, working with partners, donors and our global network to empower local communities and small businesses.

Small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) power the global economy. They represent 90% of global businesses and more than half of employment worldwide. Yet across emerging markets, SMEs are increasingly constrained by climate, economic and market barriers.

Working with you, we design and deliver initiatives that help SMEs unlock economic opportunities, strengthen their resilience and participate more fully in the global economy.

Because when small businesses succeed locally, economies grow globally.

Do you want to deliver impact at scale?

Our priority areas for SMEs

Technology for market access

We leverage technology-enabled tools to lower trade barriers for SMEs. This includes facilitating access to affordable and fair dispute resolution and delivering practical support on digital trade processes.

Growth and sustainability

We support growth and sustainability roadmaps for SMEs by facilitating access to international markets and investment opportunities – including green finance – and by supporting business-led innovation for climate adaptation.

Resilient ecosystem

We build resilience in emerging and recovering economies by strengthening the networks that support SMEs. Working through chambers of commerce and other local actors, we enhance their ability to connect businesses to international markets, implement trade tools, and provide trusted services – ensuring SMEs are better equipped to navigate crises and grow sustainably.

Your gateway to lasting impact

Position yourself at the forefront of business solutions that empower communities. Together with ICC, you can translate commitment into the ability to act at scale – while tapping into our global network of public and private stakeholders.

Address real community needs

We work at the intersection of business and society. As the representative of more than 45 million businesses globally, we connect directly with SMEs and communities to design solutions that are grounded in real-world needs and opportunities.

Scale impact globally

By combining global convening power with local delivery, we help partners take proven solutions further, faster. We adapt what works to scale across regions, amplifying impact and extending the value of every contribution.

Deliver through trusted local networks

Our presence in close to 100 capitals and access to more than 1,500 chambers of commerce allows us to activate established, trusted business networks on the ground. This ensures that projects are not only implemented efficiently, but also locally owned, culturally relevant and built to last.

Advocate for positive change

We turn insights from projects on the ground into actionable policy intelligence –feeding evidence into international forums where global rules, standards and frameworks are shaped for lasting impact.
