Internship – Digital Standards Initiative

The role
We are looking for a part-time project implementation intern to support the work of ICC’s Digital Standards Initiative (DSI) in Singapore.
Your responsibilities and learning opportunities include:
- Supporting pilots or proofs-of-concept with industry stakeholders
- Drafting reports on the impact of such initiatives to operationalise digital trade standards;
- Analysing and mapping the use of data used in digital trade documentation for sustainability and supply chain carbon emissions accounting;
- Working on training and assessment materials with industry leaders and standards organisations to develop supply chain readiness and assessment programme.
- The diverse audiences that we seek to engage and inspire include corporates, industry associations, technology solution providers, governments and inter-government organisations.

Requirements
Do not hesitate to apply if you:
- Are Singaporean, a permanent resident or an exchange student with the right to work in Singapore;
- Are a BA, BS or MBA candidate or graduate with an interest in digital economy, sustainability, trade and supply chain;
- Have good English communications skills orally and in writing;
- Have previous work experience (internship, summer job, etc.) in a bank, professional services organisation, law office, or anywhere along the supply chain (factory, port, etc.) would be an asset.
In addition to your CV and cover letter, please include an academic writing sample in English (e.g., paper submitted during university studies).
Terms and conditions
Important information before applying:
- You must still be registered as a student during the time of the internship.
- Interns are required to handle their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the duration of their internship. ICC does not provide scholarships or fellowships.
- You must have the right to work in Singapore or qualify for a Training Employment Pass or Work Holiday Visa.
Department: Global Policy
Location: Digital Standards Initiative, Singapore
Contract type and duration: Three-month internship, part time (15-20 hours a week). Evening work will be required as global conference calls are frequently in the night-time in Asia (8pm – 11pm), two or three times per week.
