The role
We are seeking a Lawyer to join our Legal Services team to work on compliance-related matters, advising ICC’s operations and departments to ensure conformity with relevant applicable laws and regulations, and with our internal policies and procedures.
You will work on a variety of tasks, including:
- Compliance management and assessment to support all ICC departments with a focus on the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration;
- Development and implementation of compliance strategies to ensure legal adherence to international standards, legal frameworks and ICC’s principles and objectives;
- Screening and monitoring of economic sanctions and restrictive measures on entities and individuals;
- K.Y.C. checks and legal advice;
- Drafting and review of legal documents to ensure their compliance with relevant laws and regulations in relevant jurisdiction and alignment with ICC’s objectives;
- Legal research on various issues;
- Staff training on compliance matters to foster legal and compliance culture within ICC;
- Internal audits to assess compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies within ICC and our global network;
- Development and implementation of strategies to address and mitigate legal risks identified during audits;
- Participation in continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation.

Requirements
Do not hesitate to apply if you have:
- A master’s degree in business law;
- A proven track record as compliance lawyer;
- Experience in a corporate legal department;
- A bilingual command of French and English with excellent writing and oral skills (an additional language would be a plus);
- Strong organisational skills with a precise, concise and rigorous approach;
- The ability and willingness to work under pressure in a truly global context;
- The skills to work in a challenging and constantly evolving environment;
- A strong team spirit;
- The desire to be a business partner for other departments as well as a problem solver;
- Experience of regular use of digital due diligence tools.
