The role

The ICC Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) Education and Training team is currently looking for an Event Assistant to provide hands-on support with the organisation and management of the 21st ICC Mediation Competition, which will take place in February 2026. As Event Assistant you will support the organisation of the Competition, gaining practical experience in a global organisation and truly international environment. You will be in contact with leading ADR professionals and with representatives of companies, law firms, consultancy firms and business schools leading the field of ADR.

The role is a six-month contract (CDD) and will be located in ICC Global Headquarters in Paris.

Working closely with the Project Manager in the ICC DRS Education and Training team, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Coordinate administrative, logistical and financial tasks related to the organisation and implementation of the Mediation Competition
  • Support the evaluation of Mediation Competition applicants.
  • Liaise with university teams, volunteers, high-level professionals and sponsors
  • Support the Project Manager in ensuring that tasks are achieved according to deadlines
  • Consult student teams to ensure adherence to the rules of the ICC Mediation Competition
  • Communicate with ICC Mediation Competition participants on social media
  • Manage the event platform
  • Support communication with students involved in the ICC Mediation Competition, applicants and other students engaged in our Education and Training activities
  • Support all logistics of the Mediation Competition, and other events and projects for the ICC Education and Training team

Requirements

  • Excellent management of priorities
  • Proactivity and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience using social media tools and community management
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Complete fluency in English, both verbal and written
  • French language skills (C1 level minimum), both verbal and written
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Enthusiasm and knowledge of mediation and other forms of ADR would be an asset
  • Financial and budgeting experience would be an asset
