Chairmanship and Secretary General
The Chair, Honorary Chair and the Vice-Chairs form the Chairmanship. ICC’s Secretary General, appointed by the World Council, heads the International Secretariat and works closely with national committees to carry out ICC’s work programme.
“In a period that has been characterised by weak international cooperation, I believe that ICC has a vital role to play in harnessing the expertise, innovation and networks of the private sector to secure an effective response to major global challenges. Simply put, our purpose to enable peace, prosperity and opportunity for all has never been more vital — and, indeed, more urgent.”
The Chairmanship
The ICC Chairmanship, presided over by the ICC Chair, formulates proposals for ICC’s strategy, policy and programme of action for determination by the Executive Board and proposes leaders of the committees of the ICC Executive Board for appointment.
