ICC’s experience in using mediation, expertise and dispute boards for construction disputes
Today the Society of Construction Law in Abu Dhabi welcomes Hannah Tuempel, Manager of ICC’s International Centre for ADR to give a talk on “ICC’s Experience in using Mediation, Expertise and Dispute Boards for Construction Disputes”.
How to avoid disputes
The presentation will highlight ICC’s experience with the use of these procedures for the avoidance and early resolution of disputes in the construction industry and in long term contracts in general. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the ADR, Expertise and Dispute Board Rules of the ICC.
Amicable dispute resolution services and arbitration
Further, a special focus will be given to the question of how ADR and Expertise proceedings can be used before and during arbitration proceedings by parties, lawyers and arbitrators in order to increase the efficiency of the arbitration proceeding.
