ICC Turkey presents first international conference on renowned ICC trade tools

Prominent members of the ICC Commission on Commercial Law and Practice and the ICC International Court of Arbitration are set to join other experts from business and banking to present a spectrum of ICC’s globally recognized trade tools at an international conference.

Hosted by ICC Turkey, the conference will be a unique opportunity to gain insight into ICC recommendations regarding techniques and practices, the two-day event conference will feature renowned ICC tools including the Incoterms®2010 rules, the new and revised Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG), Model Contracts and the ICC Arbitration and other dispute resolution Rules.

The conference will take place on the 10-11 November in Istanbul and kick off with a special focus on the newly launched Incoterms® 2010 rules, highlighting prominent changes and new features and explaining two newly introduced terms.

The seminar will not only address the trade tool individually, but will also examine their links to other practices such as the relationship between arbitration and the Incoterms® rules or URDG and the banking sector. The conference’s overall aim is in tandem with the ICC mission to promote and faciliate cross-border trade and investment, and the multilateral trading system.

The international conference will prove of interest to professionals working in the fields of international trade, trade finance, import and exports, and risk and contracts. It will also appeal to legal professionals – including mediators, arbitrators and corporate counsel – as well as academics and educators in the field of commercial, business or competition law.
