The ICC International Court of Arbitration is supporting the Arbitration and ADR in Oil and Gas International Conference organized by the Lebanon Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). The Conference will take place at the Mövenpick Hotel in Beirut on 8-9 May 2014.

Lebanon is quickly becoming an important player of the Oil and Gas sector in the Eastern Mediterranean region due to its wealth in gas. While a border dispute is still with no avenues for an acceptable solution, disputes in the Oil & Gas are inevitable as the actual exploration and exploitation of these resources is underway.

With this in mind, the CIArb Conference will bring together a group of internationally recognized arbitrators and scholars to provide a wealth of information on Oil & Gas dispute resolution with an emphasis on the knowledge and practice of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in this field. Among these international experts, José Feris, Deputy Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, will speak about Dispute Resolution in International Oil & Gas Disputes.
