ICC launches new platform to support digital trade adoption

  • 24 June 2026

ICC has launched the ICC Digital Trade Navigator, a platform to support companies prepare for digital trade through structured learning, expert guidance and curated resources.

Developed by the ICC Digital Standards Initiative (DSI), the Digital Trade Navigator includes learning modules that guide users through key topics, alongside forums where they can ask questions and engage with mentors.

“Digital trade adoption starts with organisational readiness. The Digital Trade Navigator helps companies build the knowledge, alignment and confidence needed to move from intention to implementation,” said Pamela Mar, Managing Director, ICC Digital Standards Initiative

Supporting companies in a rapidly evolving trade environment

As digital trade adoption accelerates globally, many companies face related challenges, such as understanding evolving legal frameworks, standards and interoperability requirements. They may also risk delays when engaging with banks, customs authorities or technology providers.

The ICC Digital Trade Navigator helps businesses and organisations build a shared understanding of paperless trade to avoid duplication and clarify ownership of digital trade initiatives.

The ICC Digital Trade Navigator platform currently focuses on learning and preparation. Future phases will enable companies to participate in pilot initiatives alongside banks and technology providers to support real world implementation.

Who is the ICC Digital Trade Navigator for?

The platform is designed for companies that:

  • operate in cross‑border supply chains
  • manage trade documentation, compliance, finance or customs processes
  • are preparing for digital trade adoption

Within organisations, it is particularly relevant for:

  • trade compliance, customs and regulatory teams
  • finance and trade finance functions
  • operations and supply chain teams
  • procurement teams managing supplier networks
  • digital transformation and capability building leaders

The ICC Digital Trade Navigator complements ICC’s broader work on digital trade, including standards development, policy engagement and industry coordination.

For further information, companies may contact their local ICC national committee or contact the Digital Stands Initiative.
