ICC Chairman Gerard Worms, Laetitia De Montalivet, ICC Director of Strategic Development, and Francois-Gabriel Ceyrac, ICC Director of National Committees and Membership, visited the Algerian capital on 25-26 February to help ICC Algeria develop its activities.

The Chairman’s two-day visit also included a meeting with Sonatrach, which is Algeria’s largest oil and gas company, operating in exploration, production, pipeline transportation, and marketing of hydrocarbons and by-products.

Meetings included head-to-heads with Sonatrach’s Chief Executive Officer, Algeria’s Minister of Energy and Mines, the Minister of Commerce, and the Minister of Finance.

Mr Worms was accompanied by Sami Houerbi, Director of ICC Dispute Resolution Services for Eastern Mediterranean, Middle-East & Africa. The programme was seamlessly organized by Mohammed Chemloul, ICC’s Vice Chairman of the International Court of Arbitration.

“Our visit to Algeria accomplished its mission, which was to actively help ICC Algeria,” Mr Worms said. “To add to that, ICC’s tailor-made seminars for Sonatrach will also soon be finalized.”
