ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy returns to North America and Asia
ICC has launched a second edition of the Advanced Arbitration Academy for North America and fourth Asia edition. The Academies reinforce ICC’s long-standing commitment to training arbitrators of tomorrow across the world.
The ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy has established itself as a rigorous, practice-oriented training programme. For one year, senior and upper mid-level arbitration practitioners dive deep into every stage of the arbitration process through the lens of an arbitrator – from the constitution of the arbitral tribunal, jurisdictional challenges, case management, hearings, deliberations and drafting the award.
A defining feature of the Advanced Arbitration Academy is its hands-on approach. Participants complete practical assignments, engage in collaborative group work and attend a series of in-person workshops every three to four months, under the guidance of some of the most respected names in international arbitration. The latest editions will also be the first to integrate the 2026 ICC Arbitration Rules, which entered into force on 1 June 2026.
Ruslan Mirzayev, Head of Education and Training, ICC Dispute Resolution Services said: “These new editions of the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy reflect our commitment to empowering future arbitrators in diverse regions and legal cultures. By combining rigorous training with practical, hands-on learning, the Academy equips practitioners with the practical tools and approaches needed to serve effectively as arbitral tribunals. We are proud to continue expanding opportunities for capacity building within the global arbitration community.”
Each Academy is co-chaired by renowned experts who will guide participants throughout the full duration of the programme.
