Early-bird rate soon to expire for Institute Masterclass for Arbitrators, New York

Seize the opportunity: the special enrollment price for the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Institute Masterclass for Arbitrators in New York comes to an end Friday, 22 January 2016.

Having gained popularity through the years, international arbitration has become the leading procedure for resolving disputes resulting from international commercial disputes. As a result, the need for the proper training is essential. The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Institute’s condensed two-and-a-half day Masterclass for Arbitrators will be held on 22-24 February 2016 in New York and consist of presentations and interactive discussions, using mock cases designed to polish participants’ understanding of fundamentals and best practices related to serving as an arbitrator.

Topics will include: the constitution of the arbitral tribunal, the conduct of the proceedings, case management techniques, the conducting of hearings, decisions as to the costs of the arbitration and arbitrator immunity, among other important subjects pertaining to arbitration.

The career-enhancing training provides participants with numerous opportunities: become part of interactive discussions led by prominent international practitioners and academics; learn firsthand from these leading experts; and develop contacts that will serve them as they progress as international arbitrators.

Practitioners who have substantial experience in international commercial arbitration as counsel, but no experience as arbitrators, as well as arbitrators wanting to expand their expertise, are advised to register. Past participant Peer Dalland of Dalland Associates P/L in Australia described the masterclass as “a must for all arbitrators wishing to be involved in international arbitration.”
