Registration is in full swing for the 7th World Chambers Congress, which will be held in Mexico City, from 8-10 June 2011. It is being held for the first time in Latin America and will open new doors for delegates.

Register now to network with a worldwide community of more than 12,000 chambers of commerce, as well as the chance to develop new business opportunities with the region’s leading companies. The biennial Congress is the only international forum for chamber of commerce leaders to develop and strengthen partnerships with other chambers and member companies. Mexican President Felipe Calderón is set to give the opening address for the Congress, while a host of other internationally-renowned speakers, experts and leaders will also bring their insights to the event. The Congress provides a key opportunity to promote trade and investment opportunities in your country, region and business community. The event generates an exchange of ideas on the most pressing current issues in animated plenaries and workshops, while the exhibition area provides the opportunity to display your organization and meet face to face with others. Delegates also have the option of participating in an extensive programme tailored specifically for business delegations. This includes tradeshows and customized meetings between delegates and specific industry sectors or companies. Delegates should register as soon as possible in order to take advantage of a March special promotion. All those who register by 3 March get a discount of 50 USD, while those who register before the end of the month get a reduction of 25 USD. The standard registration rate gives delegates access to all sessions and workshops, the exhibition area, the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the welcome reception lunch and the closing gala dinner. A special rate is available to companions of delegates. For 200 USD they can attend the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as go on three full-day tours around Mexico. Delegates can register online, or by phone or fax, with rates staggered according to country of origin, as well as per duration of pass. There is a complimentary registration for groups of 10 or more full-paying delegates. This means that delegations like that from the Stavanger Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) in Norway, get great value out of this experience. “Bringing a large delegation means that we get even more networking opportunities and create as many new business relationships as possible,” said Mr Jostein Soland, CEO of the Stavanger Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is sending a delegation of 11 people to the Congress. “The United Nations ranks Norway as the best country in the world to live in, and Stavanger is ranked as the top business region within Norway,” Mr Soland said. “We work hard to maintain this position. And networking opportunities, like those offered at the Congress, are a very important part of that.” Delegates from Mexico, Central America, South America, Africa and developing countries can take advantage of lower registration fees – opening up the opportunity to even more delegates. We recommend online registration as this will save time and immediately secure your accommodation and tour bookings.
