The World Chambers Federation (WCF) of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has announced the nomination of 48 chamber leaders from around the world, standing to fill 20 seats on the WCF General Council.

The World Chambers Federation (WCF) is the backbone of the global chamber community, uniting the network of local, regional, national, and bilateral chambers.

Recognising the value of diversity across its global chamber network and in its leadership, the WCF General Council seeks representation from all regions, professional levels, and from chamber organisations of every size and structure. Candidates will stand for election in November 2016 to serve for a three-year period from 2017-2019.

The quality of candidates for the WCF General Council reflects the global aspirations that our chambers have for ensuring a strong WCF,” said Peter Mihok, WCF Chair. “Both WCF and council members benefit from a unique and truly global forum, that not only helps our chambers innovate, but unites globally on issues common at the grassroots level in their respective communities and within their organisations.
