The World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Labour Office (ILO) on Tuesday launched Making Globalization Socially Sustainable, a publication that is the product of a collaborative two-year research programme funded by the ICC Research Foundation.
The Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Pascal Lamy, told the ICC Executive Board on Friday he is happy that cooperation between the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and WTO has increased in recent years.
The Foundation’s Board of Trustees and International Advisory Council have selected new projects focused on trade and employment to be supported by funds from the Foundation. Work on the following project is already underway and will deliver results during 2010.
ICC india hosts a CEO Forum in New Delhi on 4-5 December, 2009 to mark the 90th anniversary of ICC. Participants include CEOs from international business as well as Ministers and senior officials of the Government of India.
The WTO and ILO research teams assembled 30 leading researchers on global trade and employment for a workshop at the WTO in Geneva on 31 August and 1 September.
