ICC Research Foundation

ICC has presented Victor K. Fung, ICC Honorary Chairman and Chair of the ICC Business World Trade Agenda, and Adnan Kassar, former ICC Chairman, with the ICC Merchant of Peace Award.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Labour Office (ILO) on Tuesday launched Making Globalization Socially Sustainable, a publication that is the product of a collaborative two-year research programme funded by the ICC Research Foundation.

The results of the first three ICC Research Foundation projects will be made public in December, 2009 at a presentation hosted by ICC India in New Delhi, said the Foundation’s Chairman, Victor K. Fung at a speech in Kuala Lumpur.

The economic crisis has severely shaken views on the traditional capitalist economy and forced business to envisage how the market economy can regain both its vitality and its credibility, a two-day weekend seminar on the future of capitalism concluded.

The ICC Research Foundation was established in February 2009, with private funding, to extend the intellectual leadership of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), by commissioning independent research that contributes to public knowledge, education and debate on the benefits of global trade and investment.
