Due to popular demand, the ICC Institute of World Business Law’s Masterclass for Arbitrators is set to return to Asia for a second run and just one week remains to benefit from an early-bird discounted rate to attend the event which will take place in Singapore, 15-17 January 2014.

While the advanced-level training is open to arbitrators wishing to reinforce their knowledge, the programme is specifically tailored for practitioners who may have significant experience in international commercial arbitration as counsel but who have little or no experience as arbitrators. The course itself will consist of presentations and interactive discussions, based on mock cases, designed to hone participants’ understanding of critical theoretical concepts, while emphasizing many practical aspects of conducting an international arbitration.

“In keeping with its commitment to excellence, ICC has lined up some of the world’s leading practitioners to feature in this class. Participants will not only be able to learn first-hand from experienced speakers but will also have a prime networking opportunity to develop advantageous contacts with arbitration practitioners from around the world,” said Loretta Malintoppi, Of Counsel, Eversheds, Singapore, and Vice-President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration who will be chairing this event.

Participants are expected to have already mastered the essentials of arbitral proceedings and ICC Arbitration, as these will not be reviewed during the training. To assess experience, curriculum vitae will be requested upon registration.

Accreditation for CPD hours for this training has been requested from the Singapore Institute for Legal Education.
