From recycling cooking oil for transport refrigeration to resourcing efficient manufacturing plants, companies around the world are coming up with solutions to address the impact of climate change and lower the emission of greenhouse gases through research, investments and deployment of innovative technologies, processes, products and services.

ICC has compiled 22 best practice examples demonstrating the business case for climate solutions across a variety of sectors and regions. Featured case studies include projects from companies such as Alstom, Bank of America, Bosch Brazil, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Telekom, Dow, Evonik Industries, GDF, Japan Facility Solutions, Novozymes, Suez, Shell, Veolia and Vattenfall.

Part of ICC’s business perspective on climate change negotiations, the publication entitled Business actions – Best practice examples also features projects undertaken in partnership between Credit Suisse and the World Wildlife Fund, and between Microsoft and Fiat.

Comprising case studies taken from an ICC discussion paper on energy efficiency and ICC’s flagship publication Green Economy Roadmap – Best practices, the compilation highlights the essential role of business in driving global sustainability.
