ICC Secretary General John Danilovich will join ministers, business leaders and heads of international institutions for a high-level global leaders’ plenary session at the Annual Investment Meeting scheduled to take place 30 March–1 April 2015 in Dubai.

Participating alongside prominent members of the international investment community, Mr Danilovich will provide input on behalf of ICC, the world business organization, into discussions on the importance of policy frameworks that promote cross-border investment as a source of sustainable economic growth and job creation.

“ICC is honoured to support the Annual Investment Meeting and to contribute to these important discussions,” Mr Danilovich said.

An initiative of the UAE Ministry of Economy, the fifth Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) will take place under the theme “Sustainable Development through Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) – Induced Innovation and Technology Transfer” and is set to gather some of the world’s leading academics, experts and practitioners. Participants will consider how FDI can support investment policies that are needed to attract and retain sound investments and take a look at the internationalization of research and development activities by transnational corporations.

ICC is honoured to support the Annual Investment Meeting and to contribute to these important discussions.

The Annual Investment Meeting will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and aims to serve as a strategic platform to connect small- and medium-sized enterprises globally, helping them connect with potential partners and financiers from other parts of the world.

The two-day event will also feature a welcome speech by the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates as well as a presentation of the AIM FDI Report – the annual flagship publication of the Annual Investment Meeting revealing the latest trends in FDI and Outward Foreign Direct Investment (OFDI) flows globally and regionally.
