The ICC World Chambers Federation (WCF) is offering a unique opportunity for sponsors to communicate their key messages to global decision makers at the 8th World Chambers Congress.

The event will take place on 22-25 April 2013 in Doha, Qatar, with chambers of commerce from more than 100 countries expected to participate. “The Congress is the only international forum for chamber leaders to share best practice experiences, exchange insights and address, at global level, the latest issues affecting their local business communities,” said WCF Chair Rona Yircali. “It’s also an unparalleled networking opportunity.” The 2013 Congress already enjoys sponsorship from the Torino Chamber of Commerce and the Oslo Chamber of Commerce. Alessandro Barberis, President of the Torino Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: “Sponsoring the Congress not only means affirming your support for the chamber movement but also highlights your allegiance to the fundamental role that chambers and the Congress play in facilitating regional and global economic trade and development.” Lars-Kare Legernes, Managing Director of the Oslo Chamber of Commerce said: “To put our chamber and country on the map, we have opted for silver sponsorship of the 8th World Chambers Congress. We know from experience that the event is a great way to make new contacts, expand our international network and motivate our staff.” Potential sponsors include chambers looking to attract interest in their member businesses, private companies looking to target small- and medium-sized enterprises, or private organizations wishing to support economic growth in developing regions. Options are available at all funding levels and include funding the Congress, the World Chambers Competition (a Congress highlight) or delegates, especially from chambers in developing countries. WCF also provides made-to-measure programmes to fit specific marketing and branding goals. “This year we are bringing back the Congress Referral Programme, designed to allow chambers to get commissions for any of their members or corporate sponsors who become Congress sponsors,” Mr Yircali said. “Funds received from this programme will help delegates from even more chambers to attend in 2013.” The Congress includes speakers with key positions in chambers, business and government, tackling topical issues in a series of plenary sessions and workshops under the overarching theme of “Opportunities for all”.
