World Chambers Competition finalists unveiled for 2019 edition

After receiving 74 submissions, 16 chambers of commerce are moving on to the final round of the World Chambers Competition. Representing 11 countries, the selected chambers will each have the opportunity to present their innovative initiatives to the global network of chambers attending the 11th edition of the World Chambers Congress in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 12-14 June 2019.

The 2019 edition of the World Chambers Competition organised by the International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) World Chambers Federation (WCF), has received a total of 74 entries from 29 countries, the second highest number of projects in the Competition’s 16-year history.

Chambers of commerce making up the General Council of the International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) World Chambers Federation (WCF) have elected Hamad Buamim as incoming WCF Chair. Mr Buamim, who is President and CEO of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has served as WCF Deputy Chair since 2013. He will take over the role from Peter Mihok in January 2019.
