Ten innovative chamber products and services have been selected by a jury for recognition at the fourth meeting of France’s local and regional chambers (CCIPRO).

The annual forum showcased 77 products and services designed for chambers of commerce. Reflecting chamber innovation and ingenuity almost 70% of the products and services, presented on more than 60 stands, were new concepts.

Over 320 participants, including 80 chambers of commerce, exhibited products, services, practical concepts, processes and toolkits at this year’s event held in Nice.

Prizes were awarded as follows:

People’s choice award: Porteurs-de-projet.com by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Amiens

First held in 2004, CCIPRO is the initiative of a consortium of leading metropolitan and regional chambers of commerce in France.

The ICC World Chambers Federation has actively participated at CCIPRO since its second event in 2006 which took place in the northern French city Lille.

“CCIPRO is an example of a valuable peer learning opportunity for chambers,” said Anthony Parkes, Director of the World Chambers Federation. “Such forums enable public- and private-law chambers alike to showcase potential new services that chambers can deliver to their local business communities.”

The theme of the 2010 programme was “networking and innovating together”, and offered workshops on a range of issues pertinent to the chamber community, including international trade, and chamber expertise and cooperation.

A cocktail held at the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce was followed by a benchmarking evening,

Jean-François Bernardin, President of The Assembly of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Alessandro Barberis, President of Eurochambres visited the exhibition on Friday 2 July. Both were impressed by the products showcased and by the high quality of the event.

During the closing ceremony, Philippe Grillault Laroche, General Director of the Seine and Marne Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that the next edition of CCIPRO will be held in Marne la Vallée in 2012. He also highlighted the interest of opening CCIPRO to chambers around the world.
