Arbitration

Arbitration seminar heads to Iran

  • 28 August 2007

ICC arbitration services are becoming increasingly popular with Iranian companies and entities as a means to resolving commercial disputes when they arise. As ICC arbitration is becoming the primary tool used for dispute resolution, a one-day seminar providing practical information on the use of ICC arbitration services will be held for the first time in the country, next month.

Experienced practitioners of ICC arbitration, including the Chairman of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, will delve into the practical and theoretical aspects of ICC arbitration, with due regard to Iranian Law requirements, in particular the Law in International Commercial Arbitration, LICA.

The programme begins with an address by Chairman of the ICC International Court of Arbitration Professor Pierre Tercier who will be travelling to Iran for the first time to take part in the event.

The seminar, provides an ideal opportunity for practitioners to benefit from the experience of high-caliber speakers including Serge Lazareff, Chairman of the ICC Institute of World Business Law.

Organized by the Iranian national committee of ICC, the seminar will be of particular interest to Iranian business lawyers, in-house counsel and public sector officials.

Iran and ICC Arbitration will take place in Tehran on 2 September.
