At ICC, we are committed to leading by example, including by providing an inclusive, fair and safe workplace for members of the LGBTQIA community to bring their whole authentic selves to work.

In this spirit, ICC World Business Pride was launched in March 2021 as a staff-led initiative for and about the LGBTQIA community and allies.

Inclusion – the ability to recognise, incorporate and celebrate diverse perspectives – is the glue that binds successful institutions like ICC and inclusive leadership is a skill that can be honed and developed over time to the benefit of a workplace and business bottom lines. Inclusive leaders recognise the value of embracing difference and ensuring an equitable workplace culture where everyone feels supported. Beyond tolerance, inclusive leaders must also actively strive to stem bias, and stamp out discrimination and harassment, as threats to long-term resilience and our shared future.

Diversity is the backbone of creativity and innovation. ICC knows that diversity is good for business and that acknowledging and incorporating the different opinions, perspectives, and cultural references of underrepresented groups is vital to unlocking our collective potential.

In March 2021, ICC leaders and management committed to support World Business Pride via a dedicated pledge stating:

“As part of our commitment to build a more inclusive and diverse workplace, we pledge our support to all efforts of WBP to cultivate a trusting environment without bias in which people can be themselves, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender.”

The World Business Pride outlines commitments to foster an inclusive environment, raise awareness, generate engagement, provide a safe space and set gold standards.
