Internship – Commission on Arbitration and ADR, ICC Dispute Resolution Services (Paris)
We are looking for a six-month intern to join our ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR team and receive unique insights and in-depth knowledge of international arbitration and ADR techniques used in dispute resolution.

About the internship
We are looking for an intern to join our ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR team and receive unique insights and in-depth knowledge of international arbitration and ADR techniques used in dispute resolution. This six-month internship, starting in September 2025, will also be an opportunity to attend sessions of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and work with leading practitioners and experts in international arbitration.
The role
Your learning opportunities and tasks include:
- Researching a wide range of topics in international commercial arbitration and dispute resolution including corruption, expedited procedures, artificial intelligence, ESG and the revision of the ICC Rules of Arbitration and ADR;
- Analysing diverse working and technical documents, including draft reports and guides, and arbitral awards;
- Preparing meetings of task forces/working groups and the Commission’s annual meetings and conferences, as well as background documents, briefing material (including transcripts), notes and articles;
- Supporting logistical preparation of hybrid/in-person meetings and/or events and assisting with communication and promotion of such activities.
Your profile
Do not hesitate to apply if you:
- Have a good knowledge of international dispute resolution in general, including private international law, and arbitration and ADR specifically.
- Are fluent in English and have some basic knowledge of French.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and have an advanced level in Excel.
- Are autonomous, dynamic, and proactive and have organisation and communications skills.
Important information before applying
- You must still be registered as a student during the time of the internship.
- Nationals from outside the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco, or Switzerland must hold an appropriate visa from the French consulate.
- Non-EU residents are required to have valid papers before applying (long-stay student visa and/or carte de séjour) allowing them to work in France.
- Interns are required to handle their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the duration of their internship. ICC does not provide scholarships or fellowships.
- Based at ICC Global Headquarters in Paris our six-month internship programme is full-time with an average working week of 35 hours.
- Our interns receive a monthly gratification of about €900 gross + meal vouchers + partial compensation (70%) of public transport costs.
