The ICC International Court of Arbitration and the Institute of Banking and Financial Studies in partnership with the Libyan Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration are organizing a conference on the recent trends in international arbitration and its importance in banking and financial transactions.


Historically, financial institutions have prefererred to litigate rather than to refer to. international arbitration to resolve their disputes, While many in the banking and

financial sectors are still unfamiliar with arbitration, financial institutions are using international arbitration in a wide and growing array of transactions in various areas, and with various counterparties.

This event will present the report of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR on  Financial Institutions and International arbitration  examining the advantages of arbitrating disputes involving financial institutions.
