The World Chambers Competition is organised by the ICC World Chambers Federation. It is the only global awards programme to recognise the most innovative projects undertaken by chambers of commerce and industry from around the world.
World Chambers Competition
Since its inception in 2003, the Competition has generated an array of case studies demonstrating entrepreneurial diversity and inspiring other chambers. Ranging from networking and diversity initiatives to employment and membership drives, entries are submitted from all over the world–from developed, developing and least-developed countries.
Each edition of the Competition features new categories, providing chambers with a chance to share their unique projects with peers worldwide. The four categories of the 2021 Competition are the following “Best Unconventional Project”, “Best Climate Action Project”, “Best Digital Project” and “Best Resilience Project”, aiming at showcasing chambers’ achievements and pioneering activities to stay afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic.
An international jury, comprising ICC WCF leadership along with representatives—from transnational, national, and local chambers, as well as leading international organisations—is responsible for shortlisting category finalists who go on to present their respective projects during the biennial ICC WCF World Chambers Congress, which will be held this year in Geneva from 21-23 June.
The Competition is an unparalleled opportunity to raise the profile of chambers’ ground-breaking projects and initiatives. These projects benefit not only business, but society as a whole. By recognising the success of local initiatives, the Competition serves to inspire the creation of new and beneficial chamber solutions.
