The World Chambers Competition is organised by the ICC World Chambers Federation. It is the only global awards programme to recognise the most innovative projects undertaken by chambers of commerce and industry from around the world.
Since its inception in 2003, the Competition has generated an array of case studies demonstrating entrepreneurial diversity and inspiring other chambers. Ranging from networking and diversity initiatives to employment and membership drives, entries are submitted from all over the world–from developed, developing and least-developed countries.
Each edition of the Competition features new categories, providing chambers with a chance to share their unique projects with peers worldwide. The four categories for this year’s Competition include “Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) project,” “Best job creation and business development project,” “Best education and training project” and “Best unconventional project.”
An international jury, comprising WCF leadership along with representatives—from transnational, national and local chambers of commerce, as well as recognised international organisations—is responsible for shortlisting category finalists who go on to present their respective projects during the biennial ICC WCF World Chambers Congress.
The Competition is an unparalleled opportunity to raise the profile of chambers’ ground-breaking projects and initiatives. By providing some much-deserved visibility, these projects have the ability to not only benefit business but society as a whole.
