Internship – External Engagement (Paris)
We are seeking a full-time intern to support the external engagement work of the Office of the Secretary General, commencing in March 2025 for a period of six months.

About the internship
We are seeking a full-time intern to support the external engagement work of the Office of the Secretary General (SGO), commencing in March 2025 for a period of six months.
The role
Reporting to ICC’s Chief of Staff, your learning opportunities and tasks include:
- Assisting the implementation of the SGO’s external engagement strategy vis-à-vis national governments, regional and international organisations, and global governance forums, in coordination with the Chief of Staff and the SGO’s external engagement staff.
- Supporting the SGO external engagement staff with policy document drafting – including briefings, talking points and speeches – as required, including by liaising with the Global Policy and Global Communications departments.
- Working with the SGO external engagement staff to keep track of their respective engagements across different targets and initiatives.
- Liaising with the team of the Head of SGO Operations and Governance to drive the success of the SGO missions overseas – including before (meeting preparations), during (support to staff on the ground) and after (post-mission debriefs and follow-ups) such missions.
- Maintaining the SGO’s database.
Your profile
Do not hesitate to apply if you:
- Have a university degree or equivalent with a focus in economics, political science, international relations, or another relevant field.
- Are a fluent English speaker with excellent writing, analytical and organisational skills (knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage).
- Have strong attention to details, with superior communications and interpersonal skills.
- Have a strong interest in fields pertaining to the work of ICC (previous experience in government / international organisations / Multilateral Development Bank would be an advantage).
- Are able to interact with senior stakeholders – both internal and external – with a high degree of professionalism.
- Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Important information before applying
- You must still be registered as a student during the time of the internship.
- Nationals from outside the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco, or Switzerland must hold an appropriate visa from the French consulate.
- Non-EU residents are required to have valid papers before applying (long-stay student visa and/or carte de séjour) allowing them to work in France.
- Interns are required to handle their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the duration of their internship. ICC does not provide scholarships or fellowships.
- Based at ICC Global Headquarters in Paris our six-month internship programme is full-time with an average working week of 35 hours.
- Our interns receive a monthly gratification of about €900 gross + meal vouchers + partial compensation (70%) of public transport costs.
