Internship – Event and Marketing, World Chambers Federation(Paris)
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Event and Marketing intern to join ICC’s World Chambers Federation team to assist in planning, promoting, and executing events, ensuring effective communication and engagement with our target audience.
As the institutional representative of over 45 million businesses in more than 170 countries, the International Chamber of Commerce operates with a core mission to “make business work for everyone, every day, everywhere”.
We act as the primary voice of the real economy in a range of intergovernmental organisations – from the World Trade Organization to the UN climate process – championing the needs of local business in global decision making.

About the internship
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Event and Marketing intern to join ICC’s World Chambers Federation team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about event management with a strong emphasis on marketing and communications. You will assist in planning, promoting, and executing events, ensuring effective communication and engagement with our target audience.
The role
Your learning opportunities and tasks include the following.
14th World Chambers Congress (Melbourne, September 2025)
- Assist in planning, organising and executing the event, including logistics, partnerships, project timelines, administration and reporting.
- Support marketing strategies to promote the Congress through various channels.
- Help align all event-related communications with our brand’s voice and messaging.
- Work closely with the event management team to coordinate logistics, timelines and promotional activities.
- Assist in gathering and analysing feedback to improve future marketing strategies.
15th World Chambers Congress (Toronto, 2027)
- Provide general support establishing the project, including drafting timelines and guidelines.
- Coordinate related promotional activity at other events.
2025 World Chambers Competition
- Coordinate with candidates and judges throughout the process.
- Help manage the judging process and assist with coordination of the Awards Ceremony.
Regional Summits – 2025 and 2026
- Support final organisation of the World Chambers Federation’s Africa Summit (Nairobi 9-11 April 2025).
- Assist in coordinating the bidding process for the 2026 Regional Summit calendar.
Additional activities and projects
- Support with the data management of our contacts by coordinating with our CRM team and assisting with mailings.
- Support cross-cutting projects within the World Chambers Federation team as needed.
Your profile
Your experience will include both administrative and substantive tasks. The ideal candidate should be open-minded and a team player who is highly interested in gaining experience in an international working environment with a dynamic team, as both our customers and colleagues come from a wide range of countries across the world.
Do not hesitate to apply if you:
- Are a fluent English speaker with excellent writing skills (English is the working language);
- Are proficient in French and/or any other languages;
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills with experience multi-tasking, and are meticulous in carrying out the required duties;
- Possess excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Possess marketing and communication skills, including experience creating marketing collateral – digital and print and using digital marketing tools;
- Have a passion for event organising;
- Have a good understanding of global policy developments, particularly related to international trade.
Any other skills that could add value to the project and to the team are more than welcome.
Important information before applying
- You must still be registered as a student during the time of the internship.
- Nationals from outside the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco, or Switzerland must hold an appropriate visa from the French consulate.
- Non-EU residents are required to have valid papers before applying (long-stay student visa and/or carte de séjour) allowing them to work in France.
- Interns are required to handle their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the duration of their internship. ICC does not provide scholarships or fellowships.
- Based at ICC Global Headquarters in Paris our six-month internship programme is full-time with an average working week of 35 hours.
- Our interns receive a monthly gratification of about €900 gross + meal vouchers + partial compensation (70%) of public transport costs.
