Description

As the institutional representative of over 45 million businesses in more than 170 countries, the International Chamber of Commerce operates with a core mission to “make business work for everyone, every day, everywhere”. We act as the primary voice of the real economy in a range of intergovernmental organisations – from the World Trade Organization to the UN climate process – championing the needs of local business in global decision making. The convening power of our global network enables us to set rules and standards that facilitate over $17 trillion dollars in trade each year – as well as providing tailored products and digital services that directly address the real challenges faced by businesses operating internationally. We also provide the world's premier private global dispute resolution services, leveraging ICC's unique independence, integrity, and expertise.

The role

We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable Project Manager (Consultant) to drive the execution of a high-profile initiative aimed at revitalising international trade and deepening stakeholder engagement across ICC’s network.

This short-term consultancy is ideal for someone who thrives in agile, purpose-driven environments and enjoys blending strategic coordination with hands-on delivery. The role spans governance support, stakeholder engagement, and content development – requiring a sharp communicator and a confident operator.

Your responsibilities will include

Programme management and delivery:

  • Lead the operational delivery of a multi-phase initiative involving cross-departmental collaboration and external engagement.
  • Maintain project documentation including timelines, deliverable trackers, and risk logs.
  • Ensure milestones are met and proactively flag delivery risks or bottlenecks.
  • Prepare materials for governance meetings, including agendas, briefing notes, and action logs.

Governance and strategic oversight:

  • Coordinate the activities of key governance bodies: the Project Committee, Advisory Committee, and Strategic Friends Group.
  • Support structured decision-making and escalation processes to maintain strategic alignment.
  • Consolidate updates and data for regular reporting to senior leadership and governance groups.

Stakeholder engagement and outreach:

  • Lead outreach to ICC national committees and government counterparts as part of the government engagement strategy.
  • Manage feedback loops and ensure consistent communication across ICC’s global network.
  • Maintain and update an engagement tracker to monitor outreach activities and responses from ICC leadership and national committees.

Content development and strategic input:

  • Contribute to the drafting of strategic documents, including:
    • Government outreach frameworks;
    • Advisory committee summaries;
    • Policy position papers.
  • Translate consultation feedback into clear, actionable insights.

Operational support and problem-solving:

  • Step in to fill operational gaps – whether preparing executive presentations, coordinating event logistics, or supporting data analysis.
  • Be a hands-on contributor: proactive, resourceful, and solutions-focused.
