Director, Industry and Supply Chain – ICC Digital Standards Initiative

The role
We are looking for a Director – Industry and Supply Chain in Singapore to support its work with the Digital Standards Initiative.
The Digital Standards Initiative – within ICC Asia in Singapore – aims to transform global trade through digitalisation, by enabling regulatory reform, adoption and interoperability on digital trade standards, and scalable trust across the end to end supply chain.
Your responsibilities will include:
Operationalising and Driving Adoption of Digital Trade Standards.
- Engage industry stakeholders to promote awareness and uptake of digital trade standards.
- Build capacity within organisations to implement standards effectively.
- Support pilots, proofs-of-concept, and case studies to demonstrate benefits and feasibility.
- Addressing Gaps in Digital Standards
Address gaps across sectors, industries, and supply chain functions.
- Develop and implement initiatives to create new standards or enhance existing ones.
- Ensure inclusivity of smaller players and underrepresented sectors in standardisation efforts.
Promote technical and semantic interoperability between different standards and platforms.
- Develop frameworks for digital trust, security, and verification to encourage widespread adoption.
- Facilitate cross-industry collaboration to ensure standards are compatible and mutually reinforcing.
- Building digital supply chain readiness
Develop assessment programs to evaluate digital readiness across the supply chain.
- Offer training, tools, and resources to improve digital maturity of organisations.
- Scale programs to support industry-wide adoption and continuous improvement.
- Fostering collaborations and partnerships
Support and advance development, adoption, and scaling of digital standards.
- Collaborate with international organisations, trade bodies, and technology providers.
- Leverage partnerships to accelerate innovation, knowledge sharing, and standard harmonisation.
The diverse audiences that we seek to engage and inspire include corporates, industry associations, technology solution providers, governments and inter-government organisations.
Requirements
Your profile:
- Singaporeans or foreigners may apply, with preference given to candidates holding a graduate degree and over 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in additional languages and work experience in regions outside Asia would be an advantage.
- Professional Experience in trade and supply chain is desirable. Functional roles of interest include finance, compliance/customs, merchandising, shipping and logistics, or digital transformation (experience working with trade platforms and service providers is a plus).
- Familiarity with trade standards and digitalization of trade is advantageous.
