The role
We are seeking a Compliance Manager to join our Legal Services team to work on compliance-related matters, advising ICC’s operations globally and all ICC departments and affiliates to ensure conformity with relevant applicable laws and regulations, and with internal policies and procedures.
You responsibilities will include:
- Compliance management and assessment to support all ICC departments with a focus on the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration;
- Supervision and coordination the work of the compliance team;
- Development and implementation of compliance strategies and policies to ensure legal adherence to international standards, legal frameworks and ICC’s principles and objectives;
- Drafting and review of legal documents to ensure their compliance with relevant laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions, and alignment with ICC’s objectives;
- Screening and monitoring of economic sanctions and restrictive measures on entities and individuals;
- Interaction with regulators and external counsel;
- K.Y.C. checks and legal advice;
- Legal research on a range of issues;
- Staff training on compliance matters to foster legal and compliance culture within ICC;
- Internal audits to assess compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies within ICC and our global network;
- Development and implementation of strategies to address and mitigate legal risks identified during audits;
- Participation in continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation;
- Contribution to ICC digitalisation.

Requirements
Do not hesitate to apply if you:
- Hold a Master’s degree in business law (a financial and business background would be a plus);
- Have a track record as a compliance lawyer with proven knowledge and ability to navigate complex international legal and regulatory requirements/controls (notably of the United Nations, France, the European Union and the United States);
- Have a proven ability to work on highly confidential and sensitive topics;
- Have experience in a corporate legal department (experience in a law firm would be a plus);
- Have a bilingual command of French and English with excellent writing and oral skills (an additional language would be a plus);
- Possess strong analytical and organisational skills with a precise, concise and rigorous approach;
- Are able and willing to work under pressure in a truly global context;
- Have the skills to work in a challenging, sensitive and constantly evolving environment;
- Are a collaborative team player;
- Have the desire to be a business partner for other departments as well as a problem solver;
- Have regularly used digital due diligence tools.
