Training course helps MENA SMEs perform feasibility studies

At a recent training course conducted by Mohammed Ibrahim, Economic Expert and head of ICC’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regional office, business leaders from the MENA region gained a comprehensive understanding of how to conduct a simple feasibility study before making any major business decision,

The successful training held from 25-27 February trained participants on how to properly assess marketing, technical, financial, legal, organizational and environmental impacts before embarking on new or extended projects

“By the end of the training, participants were able to do a simple feasibility study by understanding the different components and figuring the impact of a project on the national economy and society,” said Mr Ibrahim. “This was the first in a series of trainings and events that the ICC MENA Regional Office will undertake to help business in the region successfully engage in the global economy. We are encouraged that feedback from the event illustrates that participants were extremely satisfied with their training and learning outcomes.”

Located in Doha, Qatar, ICC’s recently opened MENA office helps businesses in the region meet the challenges of integrating into the global economy.

Receiving support from ICC Qatar and Qatar Chamber, the office promotes and disseminates ICC’s global policy and business development work and reaches out to MENA stakeholders to raise awareness of ICC. Policy priorities are consistent with ICC’s global policy recommendations, while also taking into account regional specificities and the local circumstances of individual countries.
