ICC Institute Prize seeks applications on international commercial law
ICC is inviting applications for the ICC Institute of World Business Law Prize, a global award recognising outstanding research in international commercial law, including arbitration.
The 11th edition of the ICC Institute Prize, invites young scholars from around the world to submit outstanding research in international commercial law.
Established in 2007, the ICC Institute Prize recognises excellence in legal writing and aims to foster deeper understanding and advancement of international commercial law and arbitration. The Prize is open to any PhD and other doctoral researchers submitting doctoral dissertations on international commercial law. Long essays may also be submitted for the Institute Prize by applicants under 40 on 5 April 2027. Submissions must be written in English or French and be a minimum of 150 pages.
The laureate will receive a €10,000 award as well as international recognition from a global network of leading arbitration and dispute resolution professionals.
All entries are carefully reviewed by an international jury comprising eight ICC Institute Council members, ensuring a rigorous and high-quality evaluation process. The winner will be announced at the 47th ICC Institute of World Business Law Annual Conference in Paris, providing a unique opportunity to be recognised by leading practitioners, academics and policymakers.
Through this initiative, the ICC Institute of World Business Law continues its mission to promote knowledge and foster dialogue between academia and legal practitioners, contributing to the advancement of international commercial law, including international arbitration.
Applications are now open, with submissions accepted until 5 April 2027.
