First time ICC Institute PIDA Training to take place in Tokyo

The comprehensive three-day course is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of ICC Arbitration and its procedures. Relevant and essential topics including arbitration in the world today; the role of the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration; and different procedural approaches such as Civil Law and Common Law will be thoroughly examined.

To assure the most hands-on experience possible, a mock case will be used and participants will be broken up into small working groups. By putting theory into practice, participants are guaranteed the chance to use the knowledge acquired during the training straightaway. These types of real-world examples allow participants to fully develop their own skills and master their competences.

The ICC Institute of World Business Law plays a significant role in enhancing arbitration throughout the world. This training is yet another form of that responsibility.

Those who are participating in the training will also have the opportunity to attend the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF) and ICC Japan Arbitration Summit. The ICC YAF event will take place on 26 September and allow young arbitrators under the age of 40 to discuss the latest arbitration issues and career developments with renowned international arbitrators. The ICC Japan Arbitration Summit will be held on 29 September and will comprise three roundtables, each led by renowned practitioners.
