The role

We are seeking a Business Development Assistant to join our Global Partnerships and Development department and provide high level, proactive business support to the Head of Global Business Engagement, enabling effective delivery of ICC’s engagement, partnership and growth agenda.


This position is six-month fixed-term contract.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Executive and business support
• Provide high quality, proactive support to the Head of Global Business Engagement.
• Anticipate priorities, manage workflows and ensure effective follow up on actions and decisions.

Business development support
• Maintain business development pipeline and implement efficient practises for tracking progress on leads. Produce weekly summaries to update on progress and flag areas for intervention.
• Support with outreach, including identifying new prospects, qualifying opportunities and drafting approach e-mails.
• Take an active role on event and opportunity tracking. Maintain a calendar of key global events, speaking opportunities and partner engagement opportunities.

Coordination and planning
• Coordinate meetings, agendas, briefing notes and supporting materials.
• Ensure leaders are well prepared and aligned ahead of internal and external
engagements.
• Track actions and commitments, following through to support delivery.
Stakeholder and partner interface
• Act as a reliable point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support coordination with partners, sponsors and senior counterparts, ensuring professional and timely communication.
• Represent the function with a service-oriented, solutions-focused approach.


Content and information management
• Support the Head of Business Engagement to develop proposals for prospective partners, along with general marketing material for ICC partnerships.
• Prepare, review and format presentations, briefing notes and correspondence in line with ICC standards.
• Maintain clear, structured documentation and shared files to support transparency and continuity.


Operational and administrative management
• Ensure administrative processes are efficient, compliant and reliable.
• Contribute to smooth day-to-day operations of the function.
• Identify opportunities to improve ways of working, tools and templates.

Requirements

We would love to hear from you if you:
• Are a recent graduate with a degree from a business school or equivalent (Masters degree a plus);
• Have a commercial mindset, with a good understanding of how effective support contributes to strategic outcomes (private sector internship experience a plus);
• Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities independently;
• Are fluent in English, with the ability to draft and communicate clearly and professionally with senior internal and external stakeholders;
• Are a confident communicator, comfortable working with senior leaders and partners;
• Have a high attention to detail, discretion and quality;
• Are proactive, adaptable and solutions‑oriented;
• Are comfortable operating in an international, matrixed environment.
