The World Chambers Congress is the flagship event of the ICC World Chambers Federation (WCF)—an independent body of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) that works to champion the global chambers network.

Held every two years in a different region of the world, the Congress is dedicated to addressing the most pressing issues affecting the chamber and business community, in addition to the sharing of knowledge and best practices, and showcasing the latest chamber innovations.

The 10th edition of the Congress was held in Sydney, Australia, from 19-21 September 2017, and took place in the freshly-built International Convention Centre Sydney. More than 1,000 chamber and business leaders from 100 countries were in attendance. With unparalleled opportunities to connect and strengthen relations with such a diverse group, the Congress was the ideal venue to establish institutional ties and promote trade and investment opportunities from attending companies, countries and regions.

Under the theme “Where Business Connects,” the Congress’ 26 sessions and 80 leading speakers discussed key topics from sustainability and diversity challenges to digital growth and the slowing of global trade. This report aims to serve as a useful reference tool–not only to reflect on the meaningful discussions that took place but to help chambers and their members face the challenges and opportunities of today’s and tomorrow’s global business landscape.

The 11th ICC WCF World Chambers Congress will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 12-14 June 2019.
