New chair of Global ICC Environment and Energy Commission announced
ICC has announced the appointment of Rob Cameron, Global Head of ESG Engagement, Nestlé as the new Chair of the ICC Global Commission on Environment and Energy – a global forum of more than 500 members to shape policy discussions on the international sustainability agenda, including climate change and green economy.
With over 25 years’ experience in the fields of sustainability and corporate responsibility, Mr Cameron joined Nestlé in January 2020 as Global Head of Public Affairs and was closely involved in the development of Nestlé’s Net Zero Climate Roadmap, its commitments on regenerative agriculture, and the development of the company’s Human Rights Roadmap and action plans. He is also the Secretary to the Sustainability Committee of Nestlé’s Board of Directors.
This is a key appointment for the ICC Commission on Environment and Energy as it continues to evolve its strong and unique offering to the international business community. With a mandate beginning 1 June 2024, Mr Cameron will be responsible for ensuring ICC’s leading role in leading international debate on the development of coherent policy frameworks, solutions and tools that enable and scale enhanced ambition – in line with the objectives of the Paris Agreement, the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This Commission represents the voice of forward-looking business in addressing these challenges, and helps policymakers see their interconnected and systemic nature in a way that few others can. That is why I am delighted to take on this important responsibility and I look forward to working with Commission members and the ICC Secretariat in pursuing its vital agenda.
Mr Cameron takes over from Justin Perrettson, Head of Partnerships and External Engagement at Novonesis, who has led the work of the Commission on Environment and Energy for the past six years. ICC expressed gratitude for Mr Perrettson’s time, commitment and stewardship during his time as Chair and looks forward to his continued engagement in ICC’s policy work.
