Junior Chamber International joins Global Business Exchange

  • 24 March 2009

Nearly 50 Junior Chamber International (JCI) national organizations have joined the World Chambers Network Global Business Exchange (GBX) international database of business contacts and opportunities.

Global Business Exchange helps companies find suppliers, business partners, investors, agents, distributors, and joint ventures. Companies promote these opportunities through chambers of commerce and their member companies.

World Chambers Network (WCN) mobilizes the worldwide network of chambers of commerce to work together at one Internet location. Initially, JCI will test the database with a trial run by several of its national and local organizations and eventually expand its use to the entire JCI global network.

WCN is jointly managed by the ICC World Chambers Federation (WCF) and the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP)

ICC WCF and JCI have a 25-year history of partnership, working with local chambers of commerce to advance economic development and entrepreneurship.

In 2008 ICC WCF was a partner at the JCI Leadership Summit at the United Nations, and will also take part in the 2009 JCI Leadership Summit at the UN in Geneva to focus on the issue of climate change.
