Senior Project Manager, Origin Certification – Global Partnerships and Development (Paris)
ICC is recruiting a Senior Project Manager on Origin Certification to manage the ICC Genesis project and ICC Certificate of Origin Accreditation Chain, as well as to oversee the daily operations and communications around its Origin activities.

Origin is an important component of the international trading process, it is thus ICC’s role, through its World Chambers Federation (WCF), to raise its profile in this specific area and provide business tools and solutions to both the issuing organisations and the business community. ICC’s Project Manager on Origin Certification main mission is to keep ICC’s position in the middle of key origin players, in line with ICC and WCF’s strategies and priorities to enable global trade and to shape an open, trusted and interoperable digital economy, as well as to provide tools for chambers´ effectiveness and relevance to support MSMEs.
ICC’s Global Partnerships and Development team in collaboration with ICC WCF is currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager on Origin Certification to manage the ICC Genesis project and ICC Certificate of Origin (CO) Accreditation Chain, as well as to oversee the daily operations and communications around its Origin activities.
This role is a 6 month-contract to cover a maternity leave, based in Paris
The role
- Manage and implement the daily activities of the “ICC Genesis” project, with follow up on its commercial launch for 2024-25 (including active promotion of this new trade service, constant monitoring with the participating chambers of commerce, follow up with provider, chamber support, etc.)
- Manage the upgrade of the CO verification website (IT, communication to customs and chambers…).
- Promote and ensure a sustainable expansion of the CO Accreditation Chain (CO Chain) in existing and potential markets.
- Manage the governance and committee structures of the CO Council (Chair and its three new Vice-Chairs) and ensure the coordination with all relevant ICC and WCF governing bodies, departments, policy commissions and committees.
- Implement strategies and initiatives related to origin matters with the support of the CO Chair and Vice-Chairs.
- Manage and coordinate origin requests’ assistance.
- Maintain WCF key partnerships with organisations working in the field of origin, including the WCO, WTO, ITC, the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation and GLEIF, in participating in high level meetings and promote the work of the CO Council and its three new working groups (CO Chain, Digital CO and Rules of origin).
Requirements
- Master’s degree in International Trade, Business, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Good project management experience of around 5-10 years, with a strong emphasis on managing international-driven projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in portfolio management and analytics, able to oversee multiple projects and derive insights from project data to inform strategic decisions.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of navigating complex organisational landscapes and building consensus across various levels.
- Strong collaborative and organisational skills, with experience in developing project management capabilities within teams.
- Effective communication and influence skills, with proficiency in English; French is a nice-to-have.
