Executive Legal Assistant, North Asia – ICC Dispute Resolution Services (Shanghai)
The Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration is currently recruiting an Executive Legal Assistant to assist its Director of Arbitration and ADR services for North Asia, based in Shanghai.

The Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration is currently recruiting an Executive Legal Assistant to assist its Director of Arbitration and ADR services for North Asia. The role will be based in our Shanghai representative office.
The role
Reporting to the Director of Arbitration and ADR, North Asia, the Assistant will:
- Take care of the daily administration of the ICC Shanghai representative office (Shanghai RO), including the annual renewal of the business license of Shanghai RO.
- Conduct research and assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, articles, correspondence, and other material to promote ICC Dispute Resolution Services.
- Assist in the compilation of the annual return/report and including sending the audited accounts to the governing agencies including but not limited to tax and security authorities.
- Serve as liaison between the North Asia office and government agencies in the region.
- Assist the Director and deputy directors to promote ICC Disputes Resolution Services in North Asia, including but not limited to sorting out logistics of events, training, and conferences, managing social media of Shanghai RO, etc.
- Assist the Director (serving as Secretary of the BRI Commission) with the administrative and clerical work of the BRI Commission.
- Take care of the financial and administrative operation of the North Asia office.
- Support the Director and deputy directors managing expenses and travelling.
Requirements
- Applicants should pass a bar examination in at least one main jurisdiction.
- Previous experience in an international environment.
- Proficient in written as well as spoken English. Fluency in other languages widely spoken in North Asia would also be desirable.
- At ease with administrative and organisational functions.
- Have a team-oriented approach but be able to work autonomously.
- Be well organised and proactive.
- Proficient in MS Office programmes.
- Ability to manage social media for an effective communication.
