Event Assistant, Mediation Competition – Global Partnerships and Development (Paris)
The ICC Global Events team is recruiting an Event Assistant to provide hands-on support with the organisation and management of the 20th ICC Mediation Competition

The ICC Mediation Competition —part of ICC Mediation Week (#ICCMW) — is ICC’s largest educational event of the year. It is the biggest international moot worldwide dedicated exclusively to international commercial mediation and brings together over 500 participants including professional mediators, academics and students. The Competition offers more than 100 mock mediation sessions, training sessions, a Professional Roundtable and numerous social events across seven days.
The ICC Global Events team is currently looking for an Event Assistant to provide hands-on support with the organisation and management of the 20th ICC Mediation Competition, which will take place in February 2025. As Event Assistant you will not work on ICC case management but will support the organisation of the Competition gaining practical experience in a global organisation and truly international environment. You will be in contact with leading ADR professionals and with representatives of companies, law firms, consultancy firms and business schools leading the field of ADR.
The role is a six-month contract (CDD) and will be located in ICC Global Headquarters in Paris.
The role
Reporting directly to the Project Manager in the ICC Global Events team, your responsibilities will be to:
- Coordinate administrative, logistical and financial tasks related to the organisation and implementation of the competition
- Liaise with university teams, volunteers, high-level professionals and sponsors
- Support the project manager in ensuring that tasks are achieved according to deadlines
- Support the team in ensuring adherence to the rules of the Mediation Competition
- Communicate with Mediation Competition participants on social media
Requirements
- Proven experience in organising complex or large-scale events or trainings
- Excellent management of priorities
- Proactivity and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under high pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in social media tools and community management
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Completely fluent in English, both verbal and written
- French language skills (C1 level minimum), both verbal and written
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Enthusiasm and knowledge of mediation and other forms of ADR would be an asset
- Financial and budgeting experience would be an asset
