The role

The Office of the Secretary General of the Secretariat of the ICC Court is looking for their new intern to start as soon as possible for a duration of 6 months. The intern will be under the supervision of one of the Managing Counsel.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct legal research and draft documents related to arbitration cases in English.
  • Prepare documents and materials for presentations, conferences, and seminars.
  • Translate legal documents into English as required.
  • Assist with the organisation and preparation of conferences and related events.
  • Perform ad hoc assignments as requested by the Secretariat of the court.

Requirements

Do not hesitate to apply if you:

  • Are a student who is organized and interested in pursuing a career in  international commercial law and arbitration, with strong academic credentials and prior work experience.;
  • Demonstrate an excellent command of English; This is a core requirement . The knowledge of French and/or any other language would be a plus. 
  • Are meticulous in carrying out required duties;
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Are a team player who is interested in working with a dynamic and diverse team;
  • Have outstanding communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Can work autonomously and with little supervision;

Terms and conditions

Important Information before applying: 

  • You must still be registered as a student during the time of the internship.
     An application without a memorandum of agreement (convention de stage) will not be considered.
  • The intern must have an appropriate insurance valid in France for any damage caused to a third party and social insurance. 
  • Nationals from outside the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco, Switzerland or United Kingdom must hold an appropriate visa from the French consulate.
  • Non-EU residents are required to have valid papers before applying (long-stay student visa and/or carte de séjour) allowing them to work in France.
  • Interns are required to handle their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the duration of their internship. ICC does not provide scholarships or fellowships. 
  • Based at ICC Global Headquarters in Paris our six-month internship programme is full-time with an average working week of 35 hours.
