Description

As the institutional representative of over 45 million businesses in more than 170 countries, the International Chamber of Commerce operates with a core mission to “make business work for everyone, every day, everywhere”. We act as the primary voice of the real economy in a range of intergovernmental organisations – from the World Trade Organization to the UN climate process – championing the needs of local business in global decision making. The convening power of our global network enables us to set rules and standards that facilitate over $17 trillion dollars in trade each year – as well as providing tailored products and digital services that directly address the real challenges faced by businesses operating internationally. We also provide the world's premier private global dispute resolution services, leveraging ICC's unique independence, integrity, and expertise.

The role

We are seeking a Policy Advisor – Trade and Customs on a fixed-term basis (12 months) to respond to the rapidly evolving global trade and customs environment and the resulting increase in policy demands. This role involves a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of policy positions, supporting advocacy efforts, and assisting in ICC’s engagement in key international forums including the World Trade Organization and the World Customs Organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting our policy work across a defined portfolio of trade and customs files, including digital trade and rules of origin, through research, analysis, and synthesis of member inputs;
  • Monitoring and tracking relevant international trade and customs policy discussions, negotiations, and developments;
  • Contributing to ICC’s advocacy by drafting talking points, briefing notes, presentations, and other written inputs;
  • Preparing materials and communications to keep ICC members informed;
  • Supporting outreach efforts to engage ICC members and external stakeholders;
  • Supporting the planning and execution of ICC meetings, workshops, and events, including liaising with participants, preparing materials, and ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Providing clear and concise reporting on activities, progress towards objectives, and outcomes.

What we offer

  • A dynamic, collaborative and caring work environment in an international setting
