We act as the primary voice of the real economy in a range of intergovernmental organisations – from the World Trade Organization to the UN climate process – championing the needs of local business in global decision making. The convening power of our global network enables us to set rules and standards that facilitate over $17 trillion dollars in trade each year – as well as providing tailored products and digital services that directly address the real challenges faced by businesses operating internationally. We also provide the world's premier private global dispute resolution services, leveraging ICC's unique independence, integrity, and expertise.

The role

We are seeking a Chief of Staff to the Secretary General (SG) to serve as a strategic partner, supporting the execution of ICC’s priorities and ensuring effective coordination across the organisation. Working at the heart of the SG Office, the role combines strategic advisory, operational leadership, and end-to-end project support to the SG whilst driving high-impact initiatives across ICC’s global network.

  • Enable high-quality decision-making, providing clear analysis, options, and recommendations on high-impact issues.
  • Support the SG in key meetings and engagements, ensuring strategic input and follow-up on decisions and actions.
  • Contribute to broader SG priorities and strategic initiatives as required, in line with evolving organisational needs.

Execution and alignment

  • Lead cross-functional ICC initiatives, driving delivery from concept to measurable impact.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing SG Office team, fostering a culture of delivery, accountability, and excellence.
  • Ensure coherence and coordination of priorities across ICC, enabling effective decision-making and smooth execution.
  • Act as an extension of the SG, promoting alignment across ICC leadership, HQ teams and global network.
  • Represent the SG as required in internal and external engagements.

Stakeholder engagement

  • Leverage SG engagements to advance ICC priorities and influence external stakeholders and partners.
  • Draft and oversee high-level communications, including speeches, briefings, reports and presentations.

What we offer:

  • A dynamic, collaborative and caring work environment in an international setting
  • Opportunities to continually learn
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact
