Operational arrangements of the Secretariat’s office in the United Arab Emirates

The Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration has enacted special operational arrangements for its case management office located in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the United Arab Emirates.

As regional developments unfold, the safety of ICC staff and business continuity remain our top priorities.

In this regard, we wish to advise parties, counsel, arbitrators and all others participating in ICC arbitrations administered by the Secretariat’s case management office in ADGM of the following:

A. Current status

  1. The physical office of the Secretariat at ADGM is closed.
  2. Staff members are working remotely.

B. Communications

  1. General inquiries should be made by email (ica12@iccwbo.org) or phone (+971 50 500 3705, +971 56 333 2781 or+971 50 156 4627).
  2. Communications relating to pending cases should continue to be made via ICC Case Connect.
  3. We urge you to contact the office by email or phone for any correspondence in pending proceedings (including arbitral awards) that you intend to hand deliver or send by courier or post, ahead of dispatch.

C. New requests for arbitration

  1. Requests for arbitration (including pertinent exhibits) should be filed via ICC Case Connect.
  2. Applications for emergency arbitrator (including pertinent exhibits) should be filed by email at this address.

D. Other

  1. Meetings scheduled to take place at the office will be held virtually.
  2. Regarding hearings scheduled to take place at the ADGM Hearing Centre, please contact the ADGM Hearing Centre.
