Description

As the institutional representative of over 45 million businesses in more than 170 countries, the International Chamber of Commerce operates with a core mission to “make business work for everyone, every day, everywhere”. We act as the primary voice of the real economy in a range of intergovernmental organisations – from the World Trade Organization to the UN climate process – championing the needs of local business in global decision making. The convening power of our global network enables us to set rules and standards that facilitate over $17 trillion dollars in trade each year – as well as providing tailored products and digital services that directly address the real challenges faced by businesses operating internationally. We also provide the world's premier private global dispute resolution services, leveraging ICC's unique independence, integrity, and expertise.

The role

We are looking for an intern to join our ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR team and receive unique insights and in-depth knowledge of international arbitration and ADR techniques used in dispute resolution. This six-month internship, starting in July 2026 or January 2027, will also be an opportunity to attend sessions of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and work with leading practitioners and experts in international arbitration.

Your responsibilities and learning opportunities include:

  • Assisting in carrying out research on a wide range of topics in international commercial arbitration and dispute resolution including corruption, artificial intelligence, and ESG;
  • Analysing diverse working and technical documents including draft reports and guides, and arbitral awards;
  • Assisting with the organisation of task force and working group meetings, as well as the Commission’s annual meetings, and preparing working documents, briefing materials (including transcripts), notes and articles;
  • Providing support with logistical preparation of hybrid/in-person meetings and/or events and assisting with communication and promotion of activities/events on social media.

What we offer

  • A monthly gratification of about €900 gross + meal vouchers + partial compensation (70%) of public transport costs
  • A dynamic, collaborative and caring work environment in an international setting.
  • A hands-on experience in large-scale projects with real learning opportunities.
  • Partial work from home opportunities.
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact
