The role

We are looking for a motivated business development intern to work with a team of deputy directors in the region to assist in strategy, promotions and business development of ICC Dispute Resolution Services, primarily Arbitration in South Asia, Southeast Asia and Pacific.

Your responsibilities and learning opportunities include:

  • Undertaking market and industry research and analysis in relation to arbitration and ADR developments in the region;
  • Providing project management support in connection with strategic priorities and specific initiatives/events related to arbitration and ADR under the auspices of ICC Dispute Resolution Services and ICC Young Arbitration and ADR Forum (YAAF);
  • Assisting with the drafting of articles, communications, presentations and other promotional materials for events and engagements;
  • Any other necessary tasks required to ensure the smooth functioning of the team.

Requirements

Do not hesitate to apply if you:

  • Are a law graduate (undergraduate/post-graduate degree) in Singapore with interest in arbitration and ADR or having undertaken courses in arbitration and ADR (students who are still enrolled in university including for LLM courses can be considered too);
  • Have self-motivation and appetite to grow business development acumen, ideally with a proven track record in a legal environment;
  • Are a team player who is interested in working with a dynamic and diverse team;
  • Have outstanding communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Are meticulous in carrying out required duties;
  • Can work autonomously and with little supervision.
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Have fluency in oral and written English (proficiency in other working languages within the region is a plus).

Terms and conditions

Important information before applying:

  • Interns are required to handle their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the duration of their internship. ICC does not provide scholarships or fellowships.
  • Based at our SICAS office in Singapore, our internship programme is full time.
  • You must have the right to work in Singapore or qualify for a Training Employment Pass or Work Holiday Visa.
